SAN MIGUEL DE ALLENDE
Come and enjoy peaceful San Miguel. On Palm Sunday people walk in the streets as part of the Palm Sunday procession. San Miguel has many panoramic views including "The Town Cross" which has the best view of town. The parish church or "Paroquia" being the towns' highlight. Close up view of the Paroquia church built 1815. The Neogothic style is by one of Mexico's local masonary. Thier's a church "underneath" the Paroquia which was in the town when near a river nearly 3 miles east back in the 1,500's. Enjoy one of the hot air baloon tours. The San Miguel Craizy Parade, thousand's of people go on the street with costume. Once not displaying offendsive bahavior you can join! All Religous - Offerings & dance to the San Antonio Padua Saint. (Italy) Burning of the Judas takes place Holy Week. Judas is Jesus's amiga. They hang around town until taken to burn bad spirits away. All participation welcome! Walking the streets of San Miguel you will be able to see people wash thier clothes in the public area. Baloon guys make an excellent attraction for local and forien babies. Part of the crew on the Crazy Parade officially called Dia (day) Los (the) Locos (crazy)!
